In addition to specifying properties through the Attributes table, you can also specify an image or template associated with the category or product by selecting the corresponding option from the drop-down menu. The examples that follow show how to add a small image to a category or product.
Note: Before you can specify an image or template, you must create a media item type associated with the image or template file. See Adding Templates and Images to the Catalog.
Example: Standard Catalog
To specify a small image in a standard catalog:
Select the Catalog Management>Product Catalog window.
Select the category or product in the catalog tree.
From the drop-down menu, select Small Image.
Click the Choose Image button. The New Item dialog box appears.
From the “Items of type” drop-down menu, select Media - Internal Binary.
Click the List button, and then select an image from the list. Click OK.
Select File>Save to save the changes to the category or product.
Example: Custom Catalog
To specify a small image in a custom catalog:
Select the Catalog Management>Catalogs window.
Select the category or product in the catalog tree.
From the menu, select Images.
From the drop-down menu, select Small.
Click the Add Image button. The New Item dialog box appears.
From the “Item type” drop-down menu, select Media - Internal Binary.
Click the List button, and then select an image from the list. Click OK.
Select File>Save to save the changes to the category or product.
