ATG Search is used in combination with ATG Knowledge and ATG Commerce. These products use form handlers to send queries to and receive responses from the Search engine. Queries and responses are in XML form and include many parameters that can be used to affect search results. It is important for developers and implementers working with Search installations to understand what these parameters are, and what impact they have on a query and response.
