Before you can access a Web service, you need to make sure the ATG platform is ready for your call and Axis 1.1 is configured:
Confirm that the application that includes the Web service is deployed on your application server and is running. For more information, see Deploying Web Services.
Install Apache Axis 1.1 with the ATG libraries. See Installing Axis for instructions.
