What's New in This Guide

The following topics introduce the changes in this guide and provide pointers to additional information.

New and Changed Features for 11g Release 6 (11.1.6)

Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Deployment Guide for Oracle Identity Management (Oracle Fusion Applications Edition) 11g Release 6 (11.1.6) includes the following changes:

• An appendix containing planning worksheets. See Appendix A.

• Reference topologies based on a single domain. There are two topologies, one with and one without Oracle Identity Federation. See Chapter 2.

• A directory structure that has been standardized with Fusion Applications for a more consistent deployment.

• Consolidation of components onto a smaller number of higher power servers, to reduce the number of licences required. See Chapter 4.

• Specific chapters for storage and server preparation. See Chapter 4 and Chapter 5.

• Integration information in component-specific chapters, not in a single integration chapter.

• Consolidation of backup and restore content in the "Managing the Topology" chapter. See Chapter 21.
