Worker objects that need to persist values between sessions can use CIM persistence objects. CIM uses a Hypersonic database, which is persisted to the CIM/data/ directory. All JDBC dependencies and logic are encapsulated in a few Nucleus components, so there is no need for any interaction with the JDBC layer.
