The new group package group/prerequisite/oracle/oracle-rdbms-server-12-1-preinstall ensures that all the necessary packages required for a graphical and command-line installation of Oracle Database 12c are present on the system, irrespective of the server package group (solaris-minimal-server, solaris-small-server, solaris-large-server, solaris-desktop) used to install Oracle Solaris.
