A kernel bug related to NVMe kernel modules can cause Oracle VM Server to crash at boot if an NVMe device is attached. To temporarily fix this problem, until the kernel bug is resolved, NVMe drivers are blacklisted within the Oracle VM Server configuration. This means that NVMe storage devices are not assigned a device node by the device mapper and do not appear as usable storage on any Oracle VM Server.
