Before beginning an installation, make sure:
The environment uses a supported operating system.
A supported JDK exists on the system, and the JVM is in the system’s PATH.
A supported application server is installed. WebLogic environments must also have a user domain configured.
A supported version of Oracle Commerce Guided Search with Experience Manager is installed and running.
Note: Oracle Commerce Guided Search with Experience Manager runs on Linux, Solaris, and Windows only. If you are installing the Oracle Commerce Platform on an AIX machine, then Guided Search with Experience Manager must be installed on a separate machine.
A driver for a supported database is installed.
You have usernames and passwords for four database accounts, along with the following connection details for a supported database:
Host
Port
Database name
Database URL
Driver type and path to driver file. Environments that use a DB2 database also require a path to the DB2 license file.
For more information on supported operating systems, application server versions, JDK versions, and Oracle Commerce Guided Search with Experience Manager versions, refer to the Oracle Commerce Supported Environments document in the My Oracle Support knowledge base (https://support.oracle.com/).
