In WebLogic and WebSphere environments, the application server must be running before you start configuring your Oracle Commerce Platform application which, in this case, is Commerce Reference Store. Follow the instructions below that correspond to your application server.
Starting WebLogic
In a UNIX shell, change directories to your user domain’s
bindirectory, for example,/usr/local/Oracle/Middleware/Oracle_Home/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin.Enter the following command:
./startWebLogic.shAfter you see the notification
<The server started in RUNNING mode>, open a browser and navigate tohttp://hostname:7001/consoleto start the WebLogic Server Administration Console.Enter your WebLogic username and password and click Log In.
Starting WebSphere
Start the deployment manager:
In a UNIX shell, change directories to your deployment manager’s
bindirectory, for example,/usr/local/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/Dmgr01/binEnter the following command:
./startManager.shYou see a status report similar to the following when the deployment manager has started:
Server dmgr open for e-business; process id is 348254Open a browser and navigate to
http://hostname:9060/adminto start the WebSphere Integrated Solution Console.Enter your user ID and, if necessary, password and click Login.
Start the default application server:
In a UNIX shell, change directories to your application server’s
bindirectory, for example,/usr/local/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/bin.Enter the following command:
./startNode.shYou see a status report similar to the following when the default application server has started:
Server nodeagent open for e-business; process id is 299030
