Awards Setup

This feature is available if the Memberships>Awards application function is set to Y.

Use Awards setup to store and manage various awards that can be given to members of a property or chain loyalty program. Guest awards allow you to create user-defined guest award types that can be assigned/used by a guest during a visit to the property. The awards (URV-Upgrade Room Voucher, FRW-Free Bottle of Wine, CFC-Complimentary Facial) are stored against the guest’s profile and history details after departure. The possibilities are endless, all resulting in allowing you to monitor and evaluate award/promotion plans. OPERA internally uses the pickbox group AWD; therefore, if you are already using this code for another user-defined pickbox, it will need to be changed. The user is allowed to define award types of up to eight characters, set the number of required points and set the start and end dates as to when an award can be redeemed.

The Awards screen displays the following information.

Award. User defined code configured for the award.

Description. Description for the award code. Gives an explanation of what the award consists of.

Display Seq. The sequence or order of the award code. This is the order that the award code is listed in the Awards grid.

MP Code. The marketing program code. This code is created in the Marketing Programs configuration.

Award Miles/Points. The number of miles/points to be awarded with the associated award code.

Quantity. The quantity of the award to be given.

Begin Date. The date the award becomes active.

End Date. The last date the award is active.

New. Creates a new award.

Note: The MP Code must be configured before an award can be created. See Marketing Programs to configure the MP Code.

Edit. Edits the highlighted award. All the fields are editable, except for the Award Code field.

Delete. Delete the highlighted award.
