Credit Ratings

Credit ratings are profile-based and can be configured with deposit and cancellation rules in PMS, S&C, and ORS, when the appropriate module license is active. The deposit and cancellation rules are associated with properties. Guests and bookers who make reservations with the property will have these cancellation and deposit rules applied, based on their credit rating as indicated on their profile. To enable this functionality, set the Rates>Advanced Policies application function to Y.

To set up credit ratings, select Configuration>Reservations>Codes>Credit Ratings. The Credit Rating Codes screen appears.

Process Overview

Set up the credit rating codes (described below in this topic).
Set up the deposit and cancellation rules through System Configuration>Reservations>Codes>Deposit Rules/ Cancellations Rules.
Assign the credit rating to the Deposit and/or Cancellation rules through the Rules Schedule (System Configuration>Reservations>Codes>Rule Schedules).
At the Profile screen, select the Credit Rating LOV and apply the credit rating to the profile. The credit rating deposit and cancellation rules will now apply.

Selection Criteria

Show Inactive. Select this checkbox to display inactive credit rating codes. Otherwise, active credit rating codes display.

Grid

Credit Rating. The code assigned to the credit rating.

Description. The description of the credit rating code.

Sequence. The order the credit rating code will appear in the credit rating LOVs that appear throughout ORS.

Buttons

Move Up/Down. Highlight the rate code in the grid and select the Move Up or Move Down button to change the order of the rate code position in the LOV.

New. Select this button to create a new credit rating. The Template - Credit Rating Codes - New screen appears.

Edit. Select this button to edit the highlighted credit rating. The Template - Credit Rating Codes - Edit screen appears.

Delete. Deletes the highlighted credit rating.

Creating and Editing Credit Codes

Create the credit rating codes that will be available to be associated with guest or booker profiles.

Credit Rating. The user-defined credit rating code.

Description. The explanation of the credit rating code.

Display Sequence. The order the credit rating code will appear in the credit rating LOVs that appear throughout ORS.

Inactive. Select this checkbox to make the credit rating code inactive. The inactive credit rating code will not appear in Credit Rating LOVs.
