Rate Management Codes

One of OPERA's most powerful features is its ability to handle the most complicated rate structures with the definition of rate codes, rate details, package elements and user- defined formulas. All types of packages, company rates, travel agent rates, special discounts, weekend rates, seasonal rates, weekly rates and regular rack rates can be created. You can also determine exactly how the rates should be displayed and grouped on the folio for your guests.

The Rate Management menu offers you the ability to create Market Groups (segments) and define Market Codes. These are used in order to produce revenue statistics, market statistics, etc. In order to see where the business of your property comes from, you need to define Source Groups and Source Codes, and track turnaways (refused) business with the Turnaway Codes required. Season Codes can be used to categorize rates that change from season to season throughout the year.
