Power Off the Server (Oracle ILOM CLI)

1. Log in to Oracle Solaris as a user with root privileges.
2. Shut down Oracle Solaris.

   See one of these procedures:

   • Shut Down the OS (init Command)

   • Shut Down the OS (shutdown Command)

3. If the host console is running, escape to the ILOM prompt by typing #. (Hash-Dot escape sequence).
4. From the Oracle ILOM prompt, type:

   -> stop /System
   Are you sure you want to stop /System (y/n)? y
   Stopping /System
    
   ->
   

   ---

   Note - To perform an immediate shutdown, use the stop -force /System command. Ensure that all data is saved before typing this command.
