Set the Boot Mode
The server can be configured to boot in either Legacy BIOS Boot Mode (default) or UEFI Boot
Mode. Legacy BIOS Boot Mode is enabled by default.
Because Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 operating systems support
both Legacy BIOS and UEFI, you have the option of setting the boot mode to
either Legacy BIOS Boot Mode or UEFI Boot Mode before you perform the OS
installation.
Note -
After you have the installed Windows Server operating system, if you
decide you want to switch from Legacy BIOS Boot Mode to UEFI Boot Mode, or
vice versa, you must reinstall the operating system.
