Configure the ASBR Router

Routers that act as gateways (redistribution) between OSPF and other routing protocols (IGRP, EIGRP, RIP, BGP, Static) or other instances of the OSPF routing process are called ASBR. See Stub Area, ASBR, and Route Redistribution Topology Example for the topology for this procedure.

1. Enter Global Configuration mode in SEFOS1.

   SEFOS# configure terminal
   

2. Enable OSPF globally in the switch SEFOS1.

   SEFOS(config)# router ospf
   

3. Configure the OSPF router ID.

   SEFOS(config-router)# router-id 10.10.2.1
   

4. Configure the ASBR router.

   SEFOS(config-router)# asbr router
