Physical inventory control numbers are defined in and validated against the Physical Inventory Batch table.

Batch # (Unlabeled field to the right of the Control number field)

The number assigned to the physical inventory batch you wish to unlock.

The system considers a physical inventory batch locked if it is in an L Locked 1st Count or M Locked 2nd or 3rd Count status in the Physical Inventory Batch table.

Physical inventory batch numbers are defined in and validated against the Physical Inventory Batch table.

Numeric, 5 positions; required.

Instructions:

1. Enter the valid control number of the physical inventory you wish to unlock in the Control number field.

2. Enter the valid batch number of the physical inventory you wish to unlock in the Batch number field.

3. Select OK to validate your entries.

• A message similar to the following displays if the specified physical inventory batch is not in an L or M status: The selected inventory batch is not locked.

• If the specified physical inventory batch is in an L Locked 1st Count or M Locked 2nd or 3rd Count status, a message similar to the following displays: USERID is the last to perform a count on this batch. Proceed with unlock? The USERID is the user ID for the last user that performed a physical inventory batch count for the specified control number and batch number. This is the user ID defined in the Enter 2 by user field in the Physical Inventory Batch table; if this field is blank, this is the user ID defined in the Enter 1 by user field. If the physical inventory batch became locked while entering counts using RF Physical Inventory, the user ID displays as RFUSER.

4. Select Proceed with unlock to submit the physical inventory unlock; otherwise, select Exit to cancel. The system changes the status of the physical inventory batch to O Open.

Once you unlock a physical inventory batch, you can continue where you left off in the inventory verification process when the unexpected session end occurred.
