The DVD installation media can be made available in any of the following ways:
The installation media DVD can be installed on the server DVD drive.
The installation media DVD can be installed on an external DVD drive that is attached to the server.
The installation media can be copied to a USB flash drive and installed in one of the server's external or internal USB ports.
Remote boot media enables you to boot the install over the network. You can start the installation from a redirected boot storage device or another networked system that exports the ISO image over the network using a PreBoot eXecution Environment (PXE).
Supported OS remote boot media sources can include:
DVD-ROM installation media installed in remote DVD drive, or a remote USB removable flash drive installation media
DVD ISO image available in a location on the network that is setup for virtual redirection
DVD-ROM installation media image mounted on the server service processor (SP)
