The Disconnected Mobile Synchronization (alias MobileSync) component group is new for the current release. This component group includes components used by Siebel Remote, Siebel Replication Manager, the Siebel Mobile disconnected applications, and the Siebel Handheld applications.

The following four components moved from the Siebel Remote (alias Remote) component group into the MobileSync component group: Database Extract (alias DbXtract), Parallel Database Extract (alias PDbXtract), Transaction Processor (alias TxnProc), and Transaction Router (alias TxnRoute).

NOTE:  For deployments of Siebel Remote or Siebel Replication Manager, you must enable both Siebel Remote and MobileSync on the same Siebel Server.

The Siebel Mobile and Siebel Handheld applications have no dependencies on the components in the Siebel Remote component group. However, some information in this guide about the components in the MobileSync component group might apply to those product areas.
