The program description deals with the following:

Remarks on program function

The data for an OPOS beeper can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

Enter the number of the device under which it is to be stored in the system. The interface and link to a processing unit should be defined and the device-specific operating mode set.

Note:
99 = Null should be selected as device interface for all OPOS devices.

The OPOS modules should have been installed and configured if an OPOS device is to be operated.

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:


Service name

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 30 chars.

Note:
An entry in this field is optional and is only required if no entry has been made in field Device name.

Example:
The OPOS modules are entered as follows:

·        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OLEforRetail\ ServiceOPOS\Gerätegruppe\Gerätename\

The service name can be found in program regedit.:

The device names can be found in the left-hand directory in the device group for the device concerned, e.g.. "ADSTopCAshCentralLock".

The appropriate service names can be found in the right-hand directory under key "Standard" = "ADSTopCash.CentralLock.1".

Device name

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 30 chars.

Enter the device name of this OPOS device in this field.

Example:
The OPOS modules are entered as following in the registration database:

·        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OLEforRetail\ ServiceOPOS\Gerätegruppe\Gerätename

The device names can be found in program regedit.

Debug

Entry range permitted: numeric 0 - 255

Select one of the offered debug levels by clicking onto this field and with a second click confirming the selection.

The system offers the following debug level:

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol of data communications is required for error analysis. The details are shown in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.


Tone 1 pitch

Default = 500

Enter a value for the pitch of the first tone.


Tone 1 volume

Default = 100

Enter a value for the volume of the first tone.


Tone 1 duration

Default = 500

Enter a value for the duration of the first tone.


Tone 2 pitch

Enter a value for the pitch of the second tone.

This entry is only necessary if a sequence of tones is required.


Tone 2 volume

Enter a value for the volume of the second tone.

This entry is only necessary if a sequence of tones is required.


Tone 2 duration

Enter a value for the duration of the second tone.

This entry is only necessary if a sequence of tones is required.


Inter tone wait

Enter a value for the period to elapse between the first and second tones.


Inter sound wait

Enter a value for the period between the first and second tone sequence.

This entry is only necessary if a sequence of tones is required.


Multithreaded

Button active: Multithreaded is switched on
Button deactivated: Multithreaded is switched off

This option is dependent on the connected device and must be activated or deactivated accordingly.
