The program description deals with the following:
The data for the TCP protocol can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.
This type of protocol is used for devices which communicate with the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program via a network connection with TCP/IP (e.g. hotel credit via TCP/IP protocol). Please ensure that the protocol parameters match up to those of the connected device and/or partner system.
The interface and link to a processing unit should be defined and the device-specific operation mode set.

The value of the field "MaxIdleTime" is the amount of time that the connection will be held without any data flow. A new connection will not be rejected during that time if the value in field "Max. Connects" is set to "1"..
Generally a new conncetion will be rejected when a connection is established. If this limit is reached, the new connection will be accepted and the existing connection will be closed.
