Vingado POS (Electronic Fund Transfer)

Remarks on program function

The data for a EFT type Vingado POS can be updated, i.e. created, changed or deleted, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed. This device is works as an authorizing payment system with which allows payment by fingerprint.

The interface and link to a processing unit is defined here and the device-specific operating mode of the voucher server is set. This device must use the Device interface from type of "IP-Address" or "Shared IP-Address".

Remarks on data fields

The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.

As with nearly all programs the following also applies here:

• The entry mask for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
• There may be defaults or firmly defined selection options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current program.
• Fields with enforced entry defined are to be found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
• If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
• The same procedure also applies to call up of another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find so-called "Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with <Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.

Debug

Field with firmly defined selection options

Select one of the debug levels offered by clicking onto the field and then a second click onto the option required.

The system offers the following debug level:

• 0 = no protocol of the data communication in file "errlog"
• 1 =
• 2 =
• 3 = display of all communication data in file "errlog"

Note:
Only select a value higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol of the communication with the EFT is required for error analysis. The data appears in file "errlog" in directory work of the appropriate system unit.

Port number

Entry range permitted: numeric, 0 -65535

Default = 7821

Note:
If not  0, the port number of the Vingado Server can be entered. Zero must be entered in case the port number is already entered in the device interface (Format: IP.Port or IP:Port).

Request timeout

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Default = -13500 Milliseseconds

The value in this field defines the maximum time (in milliseconds), of the connection establishment to the Vingado-Server.

Max. transaction duration

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Default = -300 Seconds

The value in this field defines the maximum time in seconds, of the transaction duration.

Disconnect delay

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999

Default = -100 Milliseconds

The value in this field defines the time in milliseconds for the acknowledgment of the answer from the driver until the connection is closed. This time should be sufficient to cover the message before the connection is closed.

Decimal digits

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 9

Default =  2

The value in this filed defines the decimal digits for the currency amount.

Encoding

Default = iso-8859-1

Encoding fort the exchanged XML data.

Default = -978

The ISO-currency code.

ServiceTyp tag value

Default = VINDAGO_DIRECT_DEBIT

The entry in this field defines the service type tag for autorization. The values can be obtained from Vingado.

Number of the terminal (Vingado descriptor: Id of cash register).

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999999999

Number of the branch (Vingado descriptor: Department Id).

Entry range permitted: numeric, 1 - 99999999999

Number of the company (Vingado descriptor: Company Id).
