following program description deals with:
This
program can be opened via the Report
menu in the window Branch, and provides a list -
sorted by post departments - of all or selected data records included in the
market analysis. Information on which data is listed can be found overleaf in
the Field Descriptions.
In
this report, the booking transactions are sorted by their post codes. A sum
line is printed per Post Department
Code and is separated by a title line.
After
you have started the report via the menu, a selection window will be opened by
use of which you can reduce the report to the required data records. You can
predefine e.g. the company and the branch and restrict the number range for
terminals, post codes, prospects, age and turnover as required. You can define
a compiled or a short report.
Notes:
- If the first question of the market analysis
survey is answered by use of the <C> key, the market analysis is
cancelled. Booking data of this kind is not included in this report.
- The Market
Analysis is an information program. Attempts to save entries
will be rejected with the message "Not allowed".
Remarks on the Input Fields
This
paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating
these basic data
Just
like in almost any other program:
- The input mask may
be different in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the
application. In some cases some data fields may
be missing.
- Some input fields may contain default values or
defined selection options; these cannot be updated.
- The input mask contains some fields that require
an entry and others in which entries are optional.
- If the data record is updated via multi-page
input masks, go to the dialog window by
clicking on the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure applies to call up another
update program from this program.
- In some cases you may find that so-called
"Switches" which - depending on the default - can be activated
or deactivated with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are identified
by their dark color, deactivated switches are lighter-colored.
The
MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application divides the post code in the Post Department which consists of the first two numbers, and
the post region interpreted by the last three numbers.
