Sign On

After the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application is initiated, a sign-on window will appear in which you are prompted to enter your operator number and password.

Note:
In program System -> User interface -> Application , field "Autom.sign-off" the user can enter a time in minutes after which the signed on operator will be automatically signed off if no activities have been recorded. The sign-on window appears again and a re-sign-on is possible.

Operator

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Here you enter your operator number which has been set up in the system using the program Operator. Your operator name will then be displayed on the right.

If you do not know the number, you can select the data record via the Search Function.

Password

At the time of signing on to the terminal system or running background jobs, it may be necessary to enter the password, depending on the setup of the parameters in the system.

The password will not be displayed.

Note:

This password is the PIN (Personal Identification Number) of a maximum of 10 digits assigned to the operator in the Operator program. A numeric password enables data entry also on POS keyboards.
The input of password is enforced if the button "PIN Enforced" is activated in the Operator program for the operator.
If the system is working under Single User Mode, this password entry is not enforced even if the "PIN Enforced" button is activated, i.e., you can continue even if you have not entered your password.
