Depending on the various entry functions, a different keyboard event can be assigned to the same function key.

User Data

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 chars.

In this field, you only have to enter data if user data are necessary for this keyboard event.

If user data is entered manually for this keyboard event, data entries in this field are not necessary.

Example:
For a payment type preset key, the keyboard event PM with the user data for the number of the payment type stored in the system is needed.

In this case, PMn has to be entered in the Event field and the number of the payment type has to be entered in the User Data field. The "n" added to the keyboard event informs the program about the necessity of user data.

For a two-step payment type key, the keyboard event fPM is to be entered in the Event field. User data is entered for this keyboard event by the user when the terminal is in use.
