Remarks on the Program Function
The data for Web Service Parameters is updated, i.e. programmed, deleted or changed, with this program. Data which has already been stored can be displayed for information.
Note:
Web services are required for the communication between a Web application
(browser) and the OSCAR POS database. Currently, this service is used by the
customer "Coffee house", to pay in on a customer card, as well as the
query of the customer balance over the Internet.

Remarks on data fields
The descriptions below apply to all options available for update of this Basic data.
The following applies to nearly all other programs:
- The entry mask for this program in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS version may differ depending on the definitions in the user program. Some data fields may be missing.
- Some data fields may also have value or selection option defaults programmed and these cannot be altered in the current program.
- The entry mask shows fields where entries have to be made, but in other fields entries are optional.
- If the data record is updated through several pages of entry masks, the dialog window is reached by clicking onto the appropriate buttons with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure applies if you want to call up this program from another update program.
- In some cases you will find so-called "Switches" with defaults which can either be activated or de-activated by clicking onto them with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches are dark, de-activated switches are lighter.
Web Service Type
Field with firmly defined selection options
Select one of the Web Service Types offered by clicking onto the field and then a second click onto the option required.
The system offers the following Web Service Types:
Cust Info Para.
This parameter set is used for the Web service of Espresso House, to perform
customer deposits and queries the customer balance via the Internet.
Company
Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter the number of the company for which the Web Service Parameter are to be used.
Branch
Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 999999
Enter the number of the Branch for which the Web Service Parameter are to be used.
Service no.
Entries permitted: numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter a number fort his Web Service Parameter in this fiels.
Description
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 32 pos.
Enter the name of the Web Service Parameter in this field.
Installation
