- Inform the system about the positions of the
text:
In the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application, there are two position numbers reserved for
each print line:
- Positions 1 and 2 for line 1
- Positions 3 and 4 for line 2
- Positions 5 and 6 for line 3 etc.
- You can define the text size (font size):
- Normal print is achieved by entering a text in
both position numbers of a print line (see example a).
- The text of the even position numbers will be
appended directly to the texts of the uneven position numbers. Empty
lines can be left by entering blank spaces (see example a).
- Bold print is achieved by entering a text in the first (uneven)
position number only (see
example b).
- Empty lines are to be generated by entering
blank spaces.
- Note:
- Do not leave uneven numbers blank by entering a
text for the even position numbers of a print line only!
- Tip:
- If you configure both the uneven and the even
position numbers but do not enter a description, there will be an empty
line. For example, if you would like to increase the distance to the
receipt foot, configure the positions 1 to 4 but do not enter a
description. In this case, 2 empty lines will be "printed".
- By this, you can also achieve that the receipt
is printed with a length that allows the receipt to be filed.
Example A:
- Pos 1 = "Good", Pos 2 =
"Morning" => "Good Morning" [Normal print]
Example B:
- Pos 1 = "Good Morning", Pos 2 = [no
text], Pos 3 = "Thank you", Pos 4 = [no text]
=> "Good Morning"
"Thank you"
[Bold print, your text browser might not be capable of displaying bold
print]
