Changing the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application from UNIX to Windows

If your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS_POS application has run in UNIX and you would like to change over to WINDOWS operating system, you have to transfer the data from the UNIX computer to the Windows computer.

This process consists of two steps, and these are again divided into several part steps (due to the different requirements).

1. Manual File Backup in UNIX
   In the first step, the data is backed up and compressed for the transfer.
2. Data reception on the Windows computer
   The storage of the data on an Windows computer can be carried out in two ways:
   
   2.1 Via Floppy Disk
   2.2 Via TCP/IP
