Chapter 93: Processing Call Tags (MCTG)
Purpose: Use the Process Call Tags function to change, delete, display, print, reprint, and purge call tags. Your shipper uses call tags when picking up items that your customers are returning to you.
If using PC manifesting: If you Use PC Manifesting (B80), the system automatically creates call tag records in the Manifest Download New file so that the PC manifesting system can pass this information to the shipper. The PC manifest identifies a call tag record by the fact that it has a T in the Paytype field, unlike a pick record. See PC Manifest Socket Interface for an overview.
The shipper uses the information in the download file for billing purposes; billing for call tags is based on the number of tags and their weight. You give the printed call tags to the shipper for package pickup.
See Displaying PC Manifest Batches (DPCM) for more information on working with PC manifest batches.
