Chapter 29: Working with Active Offers (WACO)

Purpose: Use the Active Offers file to identify which item/offers will be included in the Item/SKU Coverage Report.

The system automatically:

• displays all offers defined in the Offer file and

• sets the value in the Active field to N

The system refers to the Active Offers file only when generating this report. You can run this report to determine whether you have sufficient quantities of an item to fulfill the remaining forecast for an offer.

How to display this screen: Enter WACO in the Fast path field at the top of any menu or select Work with Active Offers from a menu.

Description

Offer

A code for the catalog, space, or television advertisement from which you accept orders.

See Chapter 2: Working with Offers (WOFR).

Alphanumeric, 3 positions; optional.

Description

The description of the offer.

Alphanumeric, 30 positions; display-only.

Start date

The first date when you can accept orders for the offer. The system searches for a price only in offers whose start dates have already occurred.

Numeric, 6 positions; display-only.

End date

The last date when you can accept orders for the offer. The system searches for a price only in offers whose end dates have not yet occurred.

Numeric, 6 positions; display-only.

Active

This value indicates whether orders can be accepted for the offer.

Valid values are:

Y = Offer is currently active. Set this field to Y to include the items in this offer in the Item/SKU Coverage Report.

N (default) = Offer is not currently active. Leave this field set to N to exclude items from this offer in the Item/SKU Coverage report.

Only items ordered from active offers are listed in the Item/SKU Coverage report.

Alphanumeric, 1 position; required.
