Context Panel

The context panel reflects the context that will be altered when users perform operations on the system. Also, certain operations may be available only in certain contexts.

The context panel consists of the following two sections, which you click to expand:

  • Active Context

On expansion, the Active Context section shows a tree representation of the current context on the Siebel application. The tree includes the children elements that are available for configuration. The tree may also include elements that are not visible in the UI, but the ones that are configured in the repository.

By default, the current Siebel view is the active context. The active context can be changed using the Context Menu on the Hover Context. For more information about Context Menu, see Hover Context.

The bottom of the Active Context list includes the buttons used to add elements to the active context.

NOTE:  In this version of Siebel Composer, you can only add List Columns to the valid Siebel List Applet when the list columns are listed in the Active Context section. For more information, see Modifying the List Applet Columns.

  • UI Properties

The UI Properties section on expansion shows a box model of the hovered element in the Siebel application. This section reflects the pixel sizes of the element itself, and all paddings and offsets that may be applicable on it.
