Hover Context

Moving the mouse across various elements on the Siebel application dynamically changes the hover context as represented by the changing orange border surrounding the current context. Various UI artifacts may activate on the screen depending on the operations of the particular context.

Figure 2 illustrates the Siebel application displaying the hover context, which includes context menu, container border, and resize indicators.

Explanation of Callouts

Figure 2 includes the following information:

  1. Context menu

The context menu is a small popup that appears on the top left of the element that is currently being worked on, depending on whether it has a configurable repository representation.

The following buttons are available in the context menu:

    • Properties button

This button is not in use in the current Siebel Tools version.

    • Drilldown button

Use this button to change the context in the Context Pane to the current element.

    • Delete button

Use this button to delete the current element.

  2. Container border

The container border indicates the element in the Siebel application UI that is currently being operated on. This element informs the user that any changes that are being performed at this point will be applicable to all of the elements inside this border.

  3. Resize indicator

The resize indicator is a small icon that appears on the bottom right corner of the element that is being currently worked on, depending on whether it is a resizable element.

For more information about how to resize the indicator, see Resizing Elements of Siebel Composer.
