Navigation While Editing
The Oracle Documaker components provide Hot Keys and access keys to perform various actions. For example, the following actions are available when editing content in these products:
To insert new objects -
- Use Mouse in conjunction with Insert Menu
- Press Add button on an object options window
The shortcut keys listed below are applicable when you are in text editor mode. Text editor mode could be -
- In Oracle Documaker’s Section Manager when working with a text area object
- In Oracle Documaker’s Paragraph Manager when working with a paragraph
- (Oracle Documaker Studio) In Data entry check when working with either a text area object marked for interactive editing or working with a multiline text field
- (Oracle Documaker Interactive) In entry mode when working with either a text area object marked for interactive editing or working with a multiline text field
- (Oracle Documaker Desktop) with either a text area object marked for interactive editing or working with a multiline text field
INSERT
Shortcut | Description |
---|---|
Shift + Enter | Ends a line and forces text to start on the next line but does not put in an end of paragraph marker. |
Ctrl + Enter | Ends a page and forces text to start on the next page. |
Shift + Ctrl + Enter | Ends a column and forces text to start in the next column. |
Enter | Ends a paragraph and forces text to start in the next paragraph. |
VIEW
Shortcut | Description |
---|---|
F5 | Refreshes/Repaints the window. |
F6 | Reformats the text. Use after you have made significant formatting changes. |
EDIT
Shortcut | Description |
---|---|
Ctrl + Z | Undo an action such as a paste, text typing. If there is nothing to be undone, this option is disabled. |
Ctrl + Y | Redo an action that you undid. If there is nothing to be undone, this option is disabled. |
Ctrl + B | Emboldens the selected text. Note: If there is no bold equivalent for the font in the FXR, the text will not be in bold. |
Ctrl + I | Italicizes the selected text. Note: If there is no italic equivalent for the font in the FXR, the text will not be in italic. |
Ctrl + U | Underlines the selected text. |
CUT, COPY and PASTE
Shortcut | Description |
---|---|
Ctrl + X | Deletes selected content; copies it to clipboard. |
Ctrl + C | Copies the selected content to clipboard. |
Ctrl + V | Retains the formatting of text being pasted from the clipboard. |
TOOLS
Shortcut | Description |
---|---|
F7 | Performs a spell check based on the defined spelling options. |
