Select Telemarketing Specials by Item Category (F35)

Purpose: Use this screen to define whether to advance through item category selection windows before reaching a window that displays items or SKUs on telemarketing special.

Yes/no field: Select this field if you want to select items on telemarketing special in order entry or order maintenance by item category.

Why use item category? It might be easier to select by item category if you typically have such a large number of items or SKUs on telemarketing special for a particular offer that finding the correct item or SKU at the telemarketing special pop-up window is difficult. Selecting by item category allows you to first select the category the customer wants, such as petite sizes, then review the items on telemarketing special within that category, and finally select the individual item or SKU. Item categories, which are defined in and validated against the Item Category table, are codes you use to classify items or SKUs according to product relationships or compatibilities.

When this field is selected, you must advance through both the Select Item Category pop-up window and the Display Telemarketing Items pop-up window before you can select an item or SKU to add to the current order.

Leave this field unselected if you do not want to select telemarketing specials by item category in order entry or order maintenance. You advance directly to the Telemarketing Specials pop-up window.

About telemarketing specials: Telemarketing specials are available in order entry or order maintenance by selecting Options to advance to the Display More Options screen, then selecting Telemarketing Specials. You set up telemarketing specials at the offer level; only the telemarketing specials defined for the source code on the order header will display.
