Printing LPN Labels by Range (PLPN)

Purpose: Use the Print LPN Labels by Range menu option to print a range of RF LPN labels. The system prints one label for each valid RF LPN label in the specified range, excluding any LPN labels that are in a D status.

You can use the RF LPN label to scan the LPN barcode as you move stock by LPN from one location to another; see Radio Frequency Transactions (RFMN).

RF LPN labels indicate the item/SKU associated with the LPN, the quantity of the item/SKU, and the stock’s current location and primary primary location. The LPN barcode and Item barcode prints on the RF LPN label. You can review RF LPN labels in the Displaying License Plate Information (WLPN) menu option.

Print LPN Labels by Range Screen

Use this screen to specify the range of LPN labels you wish to print and the printer to use to print the labels.

How to display this screen: Enter PLPN in the Fast path field on a menu or select Print LPN Labels by Range from a menu.

Field	Description
From LPN #	The starting LPN number in the range you wish to print. LPN numbers are defined in and validated against the License Plate table. The From LPN number must be equal to or less than the To LPN number. Numeric, 6 positions; required.
To LPN #	The ending LPN number in the range you wish to print. LPN numbers are defined in and validated against the License Plate table. The From LPN number must be equal to or less than the To LPN number. Numeric, 6 positions; required.
Printer	The ID of the printer used to print RF LPN labels. The printer ID defined for your user profile at the Work with User Label Printers Screen defaults; if a printer ID is not defined for your user profile, the printer ID defined in the RF LPN Printer ID (J95) system control value defaults. The base printer ID for RF LPN labels is LPN_PTR. The system validates that the printer ID you enter is a valid printer ID in Working with Cloud Properties (CPRP). Alphanumeric, 10 positions; required.

Procedure

Print a range of RF LPN labels

1. Enter the range of LPN labels you wish to print in the From LPN # and To LPN # fields. 2. Enter the printer ID you wish to use to print the RF LPN labels in the Printer field. 3. Select OK to validate your entries. 4. Select Accept to print the RF LPN labels. The system returns you to the menu screen, submits the job PRT_LPN_RG, and prints the LPN labels. The system writes a message to the CWSerenade Application Log and CWDirect Log indicating the labels printed. See RF Printer Troubleshooting if an error message displays in the log. The system uses the print program defined in the RF LPN Label Print Program (E22) system control value to print one label for each valid RF LPN label in the specified range, excluding any LPN labels that are in a D status.
