Working with Individual Departments (WDPM)

Purpose: Use Individual Departments to define valid departments within organizations that buy your merchandise. When you enter an individual customer on the system, you may need to specify the department where the individual works.

Download to web storefront: The Downloading B2B E-Commerce Static Tables (BBED) menu option allows you to extract individual departments for download to the web storefront.

Work with Individual Department Screen

How to display this screen: Enter WDPM in the Fast path field at the top of any menu, or select Work with Individual Departments from a menu.

Field	Description
Dept.	A code representing a department within an organization. Alphanumeric, 3 positions; optional.
Description	The description of the department. Alphanumeric, 30 positions; optional.

Screen Option	Procedure
Create a new department	Select Create to advance to the Create Individual Department Screen.
Change a department	Select Change for a department to advance to the Change Individual Department Screen. You can change only the Description field. See Create Individual Department Screen for field descriptions.
Delete a department	Select Delete for a department to delete it. Note: The system allows you to delete a department regardless of whether there are individuals associated with it.
Display a department	Select Display for a department to advance to the Display Individual Department Screen. You cannot change any information on this screen. See Create Individual Department Screen for field descriptions.

Create Individual Department Screen

Purpose: Use this screen to create an individual department.

How to display this screen: Select Create at the Work with Individual Department Screen.
