Item Classification for Slotting Groups (L82)

Purpose: Use this screen to define whether you use item category or item class to set up slotting groups.

Slotting groups identify the product or family grouping for items that should be located together or be in a specific location. You can assign a slotting group to a location on the Change or Create Location Screen.

Code field:

• ITMCAT = Slotting groups are defined in and validated against the Item Category table. See Working with Item Category Codes (WITG).

• ITMCLS = Slotting groups are defined in and validated against the Item Class table. See Working with Item Classes (WICL).

Leave this field blank if you do not wish to define a slotting group for a location. The Slotting group field does not display on the Change or Create Location Screen.
