Default Scan Method for Item Returns (L80)

Purpose: Use this screen to define the type of item barcode to scan in Work with Return By Item (WRBI).

Code field: Enter the type of item barcode to scan in Work with Return By Item (WRBI).

Valid values are:

SHORTSKU or blank

The system displays the Short SKU field on the Scan Items for Return Screen in Work with Return By Item (WRBI). If you place your cursor in this field, you can scan a short SKU barcode to default the item and SKU to the screen.

Short SKU codes are defined in and validated against the SKU table.

UPC08

The system displays the UPC field on the Scan Items for Return Screen in Work with Return By Item (WRBI). If you place your cursor in this field, you can scan a UPC barcode to default the item and SKU to the screen. The UPC scanned cannot be greater than 8 positions. Note: Include any leading zeros. For example, if the UPC code is 06012011, enter 06012011 and not 6012011.

UPC12

The system displays the UPC field on the Scan Items for Return Screen in Work with Return By Item (WRBI). If you place your cursor in this field, you can scan a UPC barcode to default the item and SKU to the screen. The UPC scanned cannot be greater than 12 positions. Note: Include any leading zeros. For example, if the UPC code is 000006012011, enter 000006012011 and not 6012011.

UPC13
