Set Up Document Requirements for General Contractors
As a General Contractor Compliance Manager, use the Set Up Document Requirements page to set up compliance tracking. When a project includes document requirements, the application prompts Subcontractors to submit documents.
You can also set up requirements to initiate payment holds if a Subcontractor falls out of compliance.
There are three different types of document requirements:
- Standard Document Requirements: Require Subcontractors to submit a legal document once for a project. You can also use this tab to set up requirements for documents which expire.
For example: A project may require W-9 Forms, signed subcontracts, proof on insurance for automobiles, or workers compensation.
The page defaults to showing the Standard.
- Periodic Document Requirements: Require Subcontractors to submit documents on a daily, weekly, monthly, or per draw basis.
For example: A project may require certified payroll documents each period.
- Conditional Document Requirements: Require Subcontractors to submit documents each time a subcontract meets a preset condition.
- Conditional requirements have a Not Applicable status until a subcontract satisfies a preset condition.
- The system triggers compliance enforcement each time a subcontract meets a condition.
- The Condition Type and Condition Rule cannot be edited once the settings are saved.
If you integrate your accounting interface with the application, you can use it to import document requirements.
