ORS Guest Room Preferences

The ORS Sales Availability screen (Reservations>Sales Screen>New) provides a visible means to indicate room types containing attributes that match the defined preferences of a guest's profile. The functionality does not require an application setting and becomes available after the guest's preferences have been set up and the guest name has been entered on the Define Search screen.

Note: When the OPP_MHOT OPERA Property Management Multi-Property Base license code in PMS is active, or when the OPR <version number> ORS license code is active, you can access the ORS Sales Screen from within PMS or ORS. In PMS, select (F7) Quick Key or Reservations>Cross Selling. In ORS, select Reservations>Sales Screen.

• In the Define Search screen, if the user selects a Property and a profile having preferences, and if the room type has at least one matching feature such as a balcony, the room type displays in dark green (legend includes Pref). Upon selecting the highlighted room type, the system will display all matching preferences with the respected room type feature, visible in a yellow tooltip. The same functionality is implemented on the Reservation Availability screen and the Rate Query Details screen.
• If a room type has a guest's preferred feature, but the room type is a flow through room, then within the Availability screen the room type will be displayed as flow through, with the option of viewing the matching preferences. This can be done by selecting the highlighted room type and viewing the tooltip.
• If a room type has a guest preferred feature but the room type also has a maximum occupancy restriction, then within the Availability screen the max occupancy will be displayed, again giving the user the option to see matching preferences. This can be done by selecting the highlighted room type and viewing the tooltip.

 Configuration

Set up room features. Select Configuration>Profile>Preferences>Property>Preference Group>Room Feature. See Preferences Setup and Preferences Groups.

Set up the Room Feature in the Room Type configuration screen. Select Configuration>Room Classification>Room Types>Property. Refer to Room Types.

Set up the profile preference for the guest profile in Profile>Option>Preference button. Refer to Preferences Tab.
