Creating a New Program

To create a new program:

  1. From the Top Navigation bar, select Create New > Program; or from the Left Navigation bar, select the Programs links and from the Program listing page, click Create.
  2. Enter a name for the program.
  3. Enter the required fields under the Basic Details, Organization, Program Budget, Date, Program Custom Fields, and Statement and Notes sections. The finance categories displayed in the Program Budget section correspond to the categories that are enabled in the default global finance template.
  4. If a program evaluation matrix is configured by your administrator, select a matrix.
  5. Select proposals to associate with a program. This option is available only if your administrator has enabled the feature to associate proposals to a project. From the Available Proposals list, select a proposal and click the right arrow button to add it to the Associated Proposals list. You can also use the Filter link to narrow down the list of available proposals. To remove a proposal from this program, select it in the Associated Proposals list and click the left arrow button.
  6. Select the projects associated with the program. From the Available Projects list, select a project and click the right arrow button to add it to the Associated Projects list. You can also use the Filter link to narrow down the list of available projects. To remove a project from this program, select it in the Associated Projects list and click the left arrow button.
  7. Select programs to associate with this program. From the Available Programs list, select a program and click the right arrow button to add it to the Associated Programs list. You can also use the Filter link to narrow down the list of available programs. To remove a program, select it in the Associated Programs list and click the left arrow button.
  8. Click Create.

    Note: You can associate proposals and programs to a program only if has been enabled by your administrator. By default, you can associate projects to a program, but your administrator can control whether this is required. You can associate multiple programs to a program, but the same program cannot be associated with multiple programs.
