17 Managing Users

After users are registered in Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), you must update them with application-specific attributes in OPERA Cloud. This includes assigning the user to one or more hubs for property access. See the Assigning Hubs to a User section.

Editing a User

  2. Enter at least one search criteria, such as the Organization (Property), and click Search.

  3. Click the vertical ellipsis button for the user and select Edit.

    Note:

The read-only attributes for a user are defined in Oracle Identity Manager (OIM).

  4. Complete the following fields for the user:
    1. Act as. This field enables you to select Conference Sales Person, Reservation Sales Person, or External System.

      • Conference Sales Person: Select this option for OPERA Cloud Sales and Event Management users. Once selected, the At field becomes active and displays Property.

The At field is not available.

    2. At. After you select either Conference Sales Person or Reservation Sales Person, the At field becomes active and you can select Property.

    3. Clear Location. Select to clear the At location.

    5. Owner Code. (Appears when the OWNER control is enabled in OPERA Controls) Enter the owner code, which is typically the user's initials. This field enables you to define and associate a sales owner code for each sales account (company/agent) profile and business block. The owner code can be used as a search filter within reports and when searching for profiles or blocks OPERA Cloud. This field is free text and any unique value can be entered.

    6. Department. Enter or select a specific department to associate with the user. See Configuring Departments for more information.

    7. Job Title. Enter or select a job title for the user. See Configuring Job Titles for more information.

    8. Employee ID. Enter up to 20 alpha / numeric characters for the user's employee ID. The data on this field is propagated from OIM and may contain a combination of up to 20 alpha/numeric characters.

  5. Click Save when finished.
