Accessibility Tip: To display tool tips for timesheet reporting cells, select the Display tooltips in time reporting cells option in the Accessibility section of your Preferences (Ctrl+Alt+P). When using a screen magnifier, these tool tips aid table cell identification.
To record actual work time on a timesheet:
- If your timesheet uses daily reporting format, select the cell that corresponds to the activity and date for which you want to enter time.
If your timesheet uses period reporting format, select the cell in the Total column that corresponds to the activity for which you want to enter time.
Note: An application setting determines whether you enter time daily or by reporting period.
- Type the number of regular hours you worked on the activity.
To report an estimate for your remaining work, select Expand to show the Time Left field.
To record overtime for an activity, select Expand to show the Enter Overtime Hours row.
Notes:
- An administrative setting determines whether you have the capability to log overtime hours.
- Another administrative setting controls whether you can enter hours as a decimal value, hours and minutes, or rounded to the nearest quarter-hour. For example to enter 2 hours and 20 minutes, as a decimal you would enter 2.33, as hours and minutes you would enter 2:20 and rounded to the quarter-hour you would enter 2:15.
If you finish an assignment, you can report your work as completed by selecting Mark Activity Complete (Ctrl+Alt+C). See Reporting a Completed Assignment for more information.
