Exporting BP Records Using Bulk Update From Business Process Log Node

If you have the Allow Bulk Edit permission, you can select one or more business process records from the Business Process Log grouping node and perform a bulk update on those selected records.

A bulk update allows you to export multiple business process records and modify each record distinctly in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) for the following types of business processes:

Simple BPs(workflow and non-workflow)
Generic Line Item BPs (workflow and non-workflow)

Exclusions

The following BPs are excluded from Bulk Update:

Special behavior BPs like Project / Shell Creation and Master Vendor list
Line Item BPs that include the following pickers: Activity picker, Account Code picker, BPO, BPO Line Item pickers, CBS Pickers, CMx Pickers, Fund picker, OBS pickers, WBS Pickers

Bulk Update Export Process

To export data using bulk update:

Switch to the User mode.
In the left Navigator, click Logs > Business Processes.
In the right pane, Ctrl+click to select multiple BPs you want to export and edit.
Depending on the type of business processes selected, choose the following options in the menu bar:
- For Simple BPs, click Bulk Update > Export Data > Selected Records.
- For Line Item BPs, click Bulk Update > Export Data > Selected Records > Main Form or Main Form and All Line Items.
  Note:The main form data of the terminal records will be exported when the terminal status record has Action form as an Edit form. To export such terminal records, select Bulk Update, Export Data, Selected Records, and then select Main Form.
Save the generated Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) file in a desired folder location. For more details, see Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet File Format For Bulk Update Export/Import Process.
By default, spreadsheets for business processes with only Main form data are named in the format <BP Name>_MainForm.xlsx (for example, Warranty_MainForm.xlsx).

By default, spreadsheets for business processes with Main form data and line item data are named in the format <BP Name>_MainForm_LineItems.xlsx (for example, Warranty_MainForm_LineItems.xlsx).
