Use the Kit Display page (IN_PRODKIT_SUM_SP) to view the product kit details for a material stock request with kit component demand lines.

Navigation:

Select the link on the Kit ID field on the:

  • The Quantity/Date Detail page of the Create/Update Stock Request component and the header of most pages in this component.

  • On the Maintain Stock Requests component: the Maintain Stock Requests page, the Demand Detail page, and the Update Kits page.

  • On the Shortage Workbench: the Demand Lines view, Item view, and the Kit Summary and Kit Schedules versions of the Demand Summary view.

  • On the Fulfillment Workbench: the Demand Lines page and the Location / Lot / Serial page.

  • Pegging Workbench and the Pegging Inquiry components.

  • Material Picking Feedback - Demand Detail page.

  • Fulfillment Status inquiry.

  • Stock Requests inquiry.

  • Reserved Material Stock inquiry.

Kit Display page

Product kits included on a sales order or material stock request are visible throughout the demand fulfillment process in PeopleSoft Inventory. The Kit Display page enables you to view the product kit details for the order.

  • The Demand Kit Components group box displays the product kit components as they are defined within the inventory demand fulfillment table (IN_DEMAND).

    This group box will display any changes that have been made to the individual components on the demand lines. The demand lines within PeopleSoft Inventory will not include any item IDs that have not been defined as inventory items on the Define Items-General: Common page.

  • The Product Master Kit Components group box displays the components as defined in the product kit definition (the PRODKIT_COMPS table).

Field or Control

Description

Component ID

The Product ID defined for this kit component on the Product Definition component. Sales orders in PeopleSoft Order Management use the product ID

Item ID

The item ID defined for this kit component on the Define Items component. This item must be defined as an inventory item in order to be placed on a demand line within PeopleSoft Inventory.

Quantity

Review the number of items per product kit. The default value comes from the product kit definition on the Product Kit Summary page.

Per

Displays how the component quantity is applied, as defined on the Product Kit Summary page.

  • Asy (assembly): Indicates that the quantity should be applied per kit assembled.

    For example, if there are 10 kits to be assembled and the component quantity is 2 per assembly, then 20 components are to be used in this order.

  • Ord (order): Indicates that the quantity should be applied per order.

    For example, if there are 10 kits to be assembled for this one order and the component quantity is 2 per order, then 2 components are to be used in this order.

UOM

Displays the unit of measure for the product component. The default value comes from the product kit definition on the Product Kit Summary page.

OK to Ship Without

If this check box is selected then the product kit can ship without this component. The default value comes from the product kit definition on the Product Kit Summary page but can be changed on the order.

Kit Protected

If this check box is selected, then the demand line cannot be altered by the Kit Re-Explode process. This check box can be manually selected by the user or is automatically selected when the user changes the quantity or OK to Ship Without check box on the order line.

Effective Date and Obsolete Date

Defines the date range when this kit component is valid within the product kit. These dates are defined on the Product Kit Summary page.
