Exporting data

Learn more by watching the video!

You can use export jobs to export segments and data objects out of Oracle Unity to Secure FTP (SFTP) sites.

To export data, you will need to do the following:

  1. Create a destination to configure where the data will be exported to.

  2. Create an export job to configure the data from Oracle Unity that will be exported.

Export job files

Data object and segment export jobs have the following properties.

Segment and Campaign export jobs

Segment and Campaign export jobs always produce a single export file.

Data object export jobs

By default, the parameter for a data object export job is set to TRUE. This means the export job will create a number of export files equal to or less than the partition count (if configured) or bucket count (depending on the size of the data (MB) in the data object).

To configure a data object export job to create a single export file, you will need to use the Oracle Unity API to set the isConcurrent parameter for the export job to FALSE. Learn more about Export Job File Splitting from the Oracle Unity Developer Help Center.
