Samsung/AdGear

You can deliver audiences containing first- and third-party data linked to Oracle Data Cloud cookies and mobile advertising IDs (MAIDs) to the Samsung/AdGear platform. After your audiences have been mapped into the Samsung/AdGear platform, Oracle Data Cloud platform data flows into your audiences.

Samsung/AdGear has two apps:

  • AdGear – 1P Data. Use for first-party cookies and MAIDs .
  • AdGear – Custom 3P Data. Use for third-party cookies and MAIDs. Also use for customs or syndicated Booleans and combinations.

You can install either or both apps.

You cannot deliver first-party data through the third-party app you cannot deliver third-party data through the first party app. If you want to deliver both first- and third-party data, create separate audiences and use the appropriate app for each. Samsung/AdGear can then combine the segments accordingly.

Installing the Samsung/AdGear apps

Use the install an app workflow to install one or both of the Samsung/AdGear apps depending on the type of data you are delivering.

  • AdGear – 1P Data
  • AdGear – Custom 3P Data

Delivering audience data to Samsung/AdGear

To send Oracle Data Cloud data to Samsung/AdGear, you create audiences that include the users you want to target and then deliver those audiences.

After you specify an Samsung/AdGear app and save an audience, Samsung receives a notification with the information needed to map your audience data into their segment objects. Mapping typically takes up to 48 hours. Delivery of your audience data begins automatically when mapping is complete.
