3 Perform a Basic Numeric Data Load

Using Data Integration, you can load data in many different formats and file types into an EPM Cloud instance. This example explains how to load a simple comma-delimited file with numeric data for a single period.

For this example, we will create an integration named Basic Numeric Data Load and load data from a source file named Sample_file_10000_Rows.txt to a target Planning application. The Sample_file_10000_Rows.txt file was provided in the Data Integration.zip file that you downloaded to your local drive when you set up your environment.

The Sample_file_1000_Row.txt file includes data in the following format:

To create an integration to perform a basic numeric data load, you will:

• Add a Name and Description

• Add the Source File

• Add the Target

• Map the Dimensions in the Source to the Dimensions in the Target

• Enter Mapping Rules

• Define Additional Options

• Run the Integration
