Enabling Generative AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management

Enable generative AI (GenAI) in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management to empower users to leverage AI capabilities to gain insights, increase productivity, automate tasks, drive data quality, and to use natural language for tasks.

Note:

  • The GenAI feature is available only for OCI environments, and it is not yet available in all OCI regions. To view the regions where it is available, refer to Availability of Generative AI in the Operations Guide.

  • AI assistants are supported for English language interactions. Depending on the Language setting in your user preferences (see Setting User Preferences ), AI assistants may generate responses in other languages.

To enable AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management:

  1. From the Home page, select Application, and then Settings.

  2. In the Enable AI section, select Generative AI to enable the ability to use GenAI.

The Enable AI section is not displayed if GenAI is not available in your region.

The following features use GenAI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management:

Feature Description
PCM Interrogation Assistant

Helps you efficiently explore modeling artifacts, application context, and metadata. See EPM Assistants in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management.

PCM Calculation Assistant

Enables Agents created with AI Studio to execute PCM Calculation commands. See EPM Assistants in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management.

PCM Agent

A guided natural language tool that uses Generative AI (GenAI) to assist with workflow tasks by executing confirmed modeling commands. See Using Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) Agent,

PCM Agent Performance Assistant

Helps to identify and resolve performance issues when running calculations. Summarizes calculation performance bottlenecks and best practices. See Using the PCM Agent Performance Assistant to Help Idendity and Resolve Calculation Performance Issues.

IPM Insights

Enables the ability to automatically generate narrative summaries for a single insight or group of insights. See Configuring and Working with IPM for information on IPM Insights.

Reports

When you enable Gen AI, Gen AI Narrative Summaries for Reports are also enabled. For more information, see Enabling Generative AI in Narrative Reporting in Designing with Reports
