Edit Resource Information in Oracle Fusion Field Service

A field manager can use the Edit Resource page to review and revise a resource’s employee information, and fields that decide the access details.

Note: The actual information that's displayed depends on what has been configured for your environment.

If two users are linked only by teamwork and don't have any association with each other, then the users will not have access to each other's resource information.

This table lists the resource's information that can be viewed and edited by a field manager. The fields listed here are for the Technician resource type only.

Navigating to the Resource Information Page

For Oracle Fusion Field Service

  1. In Fusion Setup and Maintenance, go to Navigator > My Enterprise > Offering Setup. Select the Field Service offering. In the Scheduling and Dispatch functional area, select the Field Resources task. The Field Resources page displays all the Field Service resources, except those of Users/Dispatcher/Admin type.
  2. Search for the required resource and then click the pencil icon. The Resource Information page appears.
Note: You can edit information related only to Field Service. Some information comes from other objects, such as Party, and is read-only in Field Service. To update that information, you must change in the corresponding application area.
For example:
  • To change the name of a field resource, go to the Users and Security functional area and select the Manage Users task.
  • To change the name of an organization unit, go to the Users and Security functional area and select the Manage Internal Resource Organizations task.
