You can enable Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management (OKM) from within Oracle Fusion Field Service to help mobile workers search for answers related to the activities
they're working on. The search results are based on the search query's terms, context, and
intent. Apart from displaying the relevant answers, the application uses large language models
(LLMs) to generate concise, authoritative summaries from knowledge articles, which helps mobile
workers see the best-fit answers first.
Here's what to do
-
Click .
-
On the Applications page, click Add

To use semantic search and answer generation:
- Select Semantic search and answer generation - Powered by Oracle
AI. Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management uses LLM based semantic
search with improved search accuracy by understanding the terms, context, and
intent to generate more relevant results. Ensure Knowledge with Redwood
User Interface and Knowledge Generative AI
profile options are configured in Fusion Functional Setup Manager.
- Create an OAuth User Assertion-based authentication using a REST/SOAP API
application. Configure the scope field in the following format:
<fusion scope> <spectra scope>
urn:opc:resource:multiresourcescope.
Note: urn:opc:resource:multiresourcescope serves as the
multi-scope indicator and must always be placed at the end of the
scope.
- Enter the application name used for OAuth user assertion in the OAuth
User Assertion field. You must provide the application name, because
LLM based knowledge is available only using OAuth User Assertion based
authentication.
- Enter the default search term that you want to display on the Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management search page in the Search
Prompt field. You must enclose fields in braces. For example : "How
to install {inventoryType}".
-
To use a default search field and query:
- Enter the URL of Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management in the
URL field.
- Ensure that the URL you enter is in the format:
https://servername.oraclecloud.com.
- Enter the username and password to access Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management.
- Select a standard or custom property in the Default Search
Field field. When a user opens the Knowledge
tab, the default search results are based on the value of this field.
- Enter the default keyword or search term in the Default Search
Query field. When a user opens the Knowledge
tab, the application performs an initial search based on the value of this
selected field or property that's selected in the Default Search
Field field. If there's no value available for the property, the
application uses the default keyword to perform the initial search. For example,
let's assume that you've selected Activity Notes (activity property) in the
Default Search Field and added the Default
Search Query as Test. When a mobile worker searches Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management from within the context of an activity, the default
search results are based on the Activity Notes property. If the Activity Notes
value is empty, the search uses the default keyword configured (in this example:
Test). A mobile worker can perform a search with any other keyword from within the
Oracle Fusion Knowledge Management page as applicable. However, the result is
based on the exact match for the keyword.
